About NJ Counseling Connections

My Story

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and former School Counselor, I have had the pleasure of counseling children, adolescents, and adults for 15+ years. In 2015, I transitioned to higher education and am currently working as an Associate tenured professor at Monmouth University in the Department of Professional Counseling. Additionally, through NJ Counseling Connections, LLC, I supervise pre-licensed professionals and lead Daring Way™ Workshops as a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator. My research interests include the preparation and supervision of counselors and the practice of group work.

I am grateful each day for a career that brings significant meaning and purpose to people's lives, and I am excited about the prospect of walking alongside your journey as you continue to cultivate your passion and connect with others from a place of authenticity.

On a personal note, I am blessed to have a wonderful husband and children (human and fur-babies!) who support my passion for counseling, even when it means providing early morning and late-night out-of-town business travel. I am a lover of animals, nature, travel, athletic coaching, basketball, and my Philadelphia sports teams.

Please reach out for more information about my approach to counseling, supervision, professional development, and my Courageous Connections (Daring Way™) groups!
